These are antennas that we have built that any club member can build and take home.

We have parts in stock for some of these. If you'd like to build one at the next project meeting, tell us ahead of time so we can make sure we have materials!

VHF UHF[edit | edit source]

J-pole antenna
omnidirectional tuned antenna; The J-pole can be built for any band really but is easiest for VHF and shorter wavelengths. It's a great first antenna for a new tech, as it can extend the range of your HT or mesh node.
tape measure yagi
directional tuned antenna, perfect for fox hunting
Moxon antenna
directional tuned antenna; practical for 70cm and longer wavelengths; basically a stable folded yagi
WiFi antenna

HF[edit | edit source]

These are much bigger!

EFHW antenna
This is an all band HF antenna that needs a tuner and needs to be hung in a tree.
Free standing portable HF vertical
This uses a commercial telescoping whip and adds parts to extend the range to longer wavelenghts while keeping it portable without needing trees.
HF moxon
future plans for 10m and longer wavelength moxons!
Windom
This is a tune off center fed dipole designed to be hung between 25-35 ft up. Typically good for 20-40-80m but can add 10m with a cheat (carolina variation) and can be tuned to other bands with a tuner.
